·       Uses Visual Basic .Net as the front end.

·       Uses Microsoft Access to store the data.

·       The database is encrypted.

·       The database gets automatically backed up if any data changes are made.

·       The Access database stores four Auto Descriptions and four Auto Maintenance tables.

·       The first record of each table you can’t do anything with.  It is to just show the type of information to enter in each field.  If you don’t enter the correct formatted data when adding records, you will be guided on what you should enter.

·       You can use a mouse or keys to navigate the forms and there are ToolTips throughout the program to make things easier for people with disabilities.

·       Uses Crystal Reports to create your auto maintenance records reports.

·       There are search capabilities that allow you to enter a character or several characters to pull up all records that contain those characters.  From there you can select the record you want.

·       There are various ways to customize Maintenance reports by selecting if you want to start from the beginning of the file or at a particular record, sort by and sort order.

·       The report headers are changed according to what auto and options you selected so there is no confusion about what data you are looking at.

·       The program keeps your auto maintenance records more organized, you can see how much you are spending, when and if you are ready to sell a vehicle, you can present the maintenance report to the potential buyer to show your upkeep of the vehicle.
