· Uses Visual Basic .Net
as the front end.
· Uses Microsoft Access
to store the data.
· The database is
encrypted.
· The database gets
automatically backed up if any data changes are made.
· The Access database
stores Return Address information, Personal and Business Address information
including Home, Business, Cell phone numbers, e-mail addresses and Driving
Directions.
· The first record of
each table you can’t do anything with.
It is to just show the type of information to enter in each field. If you don’t enter the correct formatted data
when adding records, you will be guided on what you should enter.
· You can use a mouse or
keys to navigate the forms and there are ToolTips throughout the program to
make things easier for people with disabilities.
· There are search
capabilities that allow you to enter a character or several characters to pull
up all records that contain those characters.
From there you can select the record you want.
· On the forms that store
e-mail addresses, you can press the E-mail button and your default mail client
will launch with the e-mail address in the ‘To’ area.
· There is a link for
Google Maps on the Driving Directions form.
· Uses Crystal Reports to
create Address Lists, Return Address and Send to Mailing Labels along with
Rolodex Cards and Driving Directions.
· The user can customize
their Return Address Labels by selecting a graphic they want which will appear
on the left side of the label.
· There are various ways
to customize Home and Business Address reports by selecting if you want to use
a list, how you want to sort and which order to sort in.
· The report headers are
changed according to what options you selected so there is no confusion about
what data you are looking at.
· The Lists come in handy
if you want to create labels to send invitations to certain people for a party
or if you want to send Christmas cards.
